Description In this asana, the body is folded forward towards one leg, with one hand holding the toes of the leg and the forehead touching the knee or the shin of the leg. Diseases that can be cured by this pose Menstrual disorders Steps to perform this pose -
Spread the legs as far apart as possible.  -
Turn the torso towards the left leg. -
Inhale and extend the right arm and hold the left toes with the right hand, wrapping the left arm around the waist. -
Exhale and bend forward. If possible, touch the forehead to the left knee or shin. Breathe normally. -
Exhale and while inhaling, lift up the head. -
Release the arms back to the sides of the body. -
Join both legs and resume the sitting position. Do’s and Don’ts of this Pose -
Keep the back straight. -
Keep both the legs straight. -
Touch the right elbow to the ground if you are able to catch the toes. -
Relax in the pose. -
Do not hunch the back in order to touch the forehead on the knee. -
People who suffer from slipped disc or sciatica or those who have had a recent abdominal surgery should not practice this asana. Benefits -
